Cold tomato salad
This cold tomato sald is ideal to cool down the hotness of summer. Its color also catches the eyes so we will feel very much alive :)
Step 1: Prepare a sauce pan with hot boiled water.
Step 2: Prepare ripe cherry tomatoes (about 30 pieces). Remove the stems and cut the "cross" or the "star" at the stem location. This technique will help you peel the skin smoothly and easily at step 3.
Step 3: Dip tomatoes into hot boiled water at step 1 for 10-20 seconds, then transfer them into an iced water bowl. If your tomatoes are not quite ripe, you can dip even longer, maybe 30 seconds.
Step 4: Drain the tomatoes, then peel the skin out of each one.
Step 5: Put all "naked" tomatoes into a bowl or a bag, mix with the following combination: vinegar (2 tbsp), sugar (1.5 tsp), salt (1/4 tsp), cumin powder (1/4 tsp), olive oil (2 tbsp), and a little bit of garlic (chopped or grinded). Mix well and put the bowl or the bag into the fridge for 15 minutes.
Step 6: Dish out tomato salad, garnish with some green herbs.
