Chicken gizzard stir fried
This dish is a Vietnamese favorite, and luckily the ingredients can be purchased at Japanese supermarkets. Due to its chewiness, chicken gizzards are usually eaten with some beer or wine.
The most fascinating step of this dish is cutting chicken gizzard and putting them in boiling water. The technique is described here. It is this step that makes the dish so special to me to try it out.
But the taste of stir fried gizzards is unique. All you will do is firstly boil the gizzards in hot water for 5 minutes, then drain them out and marinade them with a little bit of fish sauce, salt, chicken powder, sugar and peppers. You can add some chili flakes for more spicy.
I will give an exact recipe for this dish later when I cook again. For the first time, it was really a random seasoning. You add a little bit of everything little by little until you feel good.
Just one thing, you definitely need fish soyce, I swear!
